Countdown to Israel2/24/2019 Four days until my flight leaves for the Holy Land and I can't believe I am actually going to Israel! The opportunity I have to make this trip at such a low cost is amazing. Thank you to everyone who donated and helped me make the most of this opportunity.
I'm most looking forward to visiting the Mt. of Olives, where Jesus was before he was taken to be crucified. There are so many cool places we get to visit, including the site that's believed to be the tomb Jesus was buried in. We even get to have a Sabbath dinner with a Jewish family. I have been asked a few times, but this trip is purely educational. We are actually not allowed to be involved in any kind of evangelism outside of our group. In fact, we are extremely busy all day, with breakfast beginning at 6:00 AM and events going until 11:00 PM. Time change is a major factor. It's actually a 10 hour difference from the west coast of the U.S. to Israel. The weather is actually about the same, though. We stop in New York on the way to Israel for a four-hour layover, then make the ten hour flight to Tel-Aviv, Israel. Our return flight is a direct, 16 hour flight. Thank you to everyone for the support! If you have any questions about this trip, please don't be afraid to reach out, I'd love to talk about it! I will be posting photos on Instagram and Facebook along with this blog.
